Roller Shades
Drapery
Roller shades have become synonymous with convenience, function, and luxury. Sometimes referred to as blackout shades, sun shades, solar shades or sometimes sheer shades; the design of any roller is simple yet important to each room.
Solar fabric roller shades complement any room by altering light levels, protecting against UV rays, reducing heat gain, all while preserving a view. In the closed position, shades minimize the effect of sunlight, glare and heat – in the open position, shades maximize a total view. Roller shades in patterns and weaves bring interest and privacy to a room as well.
Blackout or semi-translucent roller shade fabrics provide privacy or light control. Blackout roller shade applications are popular in bedrooms and media rooms where the intensity of sunlight should be reduced to almost zero at specific times. Roller shade systems are customizable and can be engineered to accommodate oddly shaped, or oddly sized windows. Continuous shade applications can be constructed as wide as 40ft.
ASI works with architects and builders to conceal a shade system in the wall, window or ceiling. These recessed applications allow for the ultimate function, and least visibility of the shade mechanisms when properly planned and installed. Whether you want to lower or raise indoor temperatures, keep fabrics and flooring from fading, save on air conditioning costs, maximize your view, create room darkening or blackout scenes in a room, increase security or ensure privacy; a roller shade is often the ideal solution.
Custom draperies impart a refined, graceful character to any design project. A contemporary Ripplefold or transitional pinch pleat drape can add both structure and softness to a room. They can also provide the functionality to achieve total blackout in a room or create a dramatic effect in a theater.
Motorized drapery systems are nearly silent and can accommodate curves and vast expanses. ASi will provide a wide range of options to suit the needs of any application. Such options include track systems that allow for up to 50 feet in length, single or multi-bend curved tracks, manual-open override, track splicing, 90° curves, synchronized motors, and much more.
Track systems are available for integrated hard-wired applications or simple plug-n-play systems that plug directly into a standard electrical outlet to eliminate the need for new wiring. Reliable, easy to operate and virtually maintenance free, motorized drapery is a preferred choice for both residential and commercial applications.
